Castello di Borghese Winery

Nestled just outside of Greenport, Castello di Borghese Vineyard, the first vineyard ever opened on Long Island, has won numerous international awards and widespread respect. Run by the children of Marco And Ann Mari Borghese, who took over the vineyard in 1999, Castello di Borghese wines have been compared to some of the best French grape varietals.

On Friday, September 8, Castello di Borghese hosts the Official Opening Night Kick-Off. Admission is included for those with Festival-Wide Passes and Friday Night VIP Tickets. Enjoy a wine and oyster night with other small plates, along with live music and a breathtaking setting.

The Festival is so thankful to partnering with the East End Seaport Museum.

Located on the water, the museum provides the opportunity to experience Greenport's historic waterfront and the rich maritime heritage of Long Island’s East End. The museum holds a variety of children's programs and lighthouse cruises, ensuring that there are always ways to learn and explore in Greenport.

Unbeknownst to many tourists, Greenport is home to a rich maritime history. In addition to being a key naval location during the American Revolution and the Spanish American War, Greenport was a principal whaling port, along with a transportation hub housing side-wheel steamers, and a prosperous oyster and menhaden fishing industry.
