Submit Independently Produced Pilots

We are currently accepting independently produced TV Pilot submissions through FilmFreeway. Our celebrated judges and selection committee will select four official pilots that best reflect the spirit of independent storytelling for screenings at the 2019 North Fork TV Festival.

 
 
 

Submission Guidelines

 
  • Minimum running time is 13 minutes and maximum is 1 hour for consideration.

  • Electronic press kits are encouraged but not required. Feel free to explore last year's pilot trailers, as examples.  

  • Pilots must be in English or English subtitled.

  • If your pilot is selected, NTFV may screen at the 2019 North Fork TV Festival. Creators must provide both a DCP and a Pro-Res export.

  • In order to screen your pilot, at least one of the creators must be able to attend the 2019 North Fork TV Festival.

  • All pilot submissions must be received through the North Fork TV Festival platforms on Withoutabox and/or FilmFreeway.

  • Creators must also supply: contact details, 5 high res photos for promotional purposes, pilot poster, trailer of the pilot if possible.

  • All pilots must have opening titles and end credits, without exception.

  • There is no limit to the number of pilots you may submit.

  • There is no restriction on the date your pilot was completed.

  • It is not required that your pilot premiere at the North Fork TV Festival, however, please let us know if your pilot will be premiering so that we can celebrate that information with our guests.

  • All genres are eligible for submission EXCLUDING pilots which depict sexual pornography.

  • NFTV reserves the right to alter the Festival schedule and venue at any time for any reason. NFTV does not accept any liability for any costs claimed to arise as a result of a change in the scheduling.

  • By submitting, creators grant NFTV the right to use the submission and any other promotional material/photo’s and/or information submitted by creators to communicate to the public in all media, including via our website and publicity materials, or to advertise and promote NFTV events, its products and services, or all.

  • Creators must represent and warrant that they have all the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions NFTV needs to screen the pilot, and creators must provide evidence of such if requested.

  • NFTV accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by any person as a result of submitting the pilot and related events.

  • All submissions must be accompanied by the appropriate submission fee. All submission fees are nonrefundable.

  • The regular deadline is April 30, 2019 and the fee for regular submissions is $40.

  • The late deadline is June 12, 2019 and the fee for late submissions is $50.
